We recently returned from ProWine 2024 – Mumbai where we showcased our range of spirits. It was a whistle-stop tour with a two-day trade show in association with the Department For  Business. You may have heard us chat about our relationship with the British Department For Trade before but we are forever grateful for the opportunities it has created for us.

David and Brad flew out to Mumbai on Wednesday and arrived back on Saturday evening looking a little more jaded than when they left. We took the time to sit down with Brad so he could tell us a little more about their trip.

Why India, we know Tipsy is growing but how did you end up in Mumbai?

We have been dealing with various export markets in Europe over the past two years but we thought it was time to spread our wings. We know that the markets in South East Asia are well know for supporting British producers. The DBT (Dept for Business and Trade) arranged the “Best Of British” stand at ProWine (a major drinks expo worldwide) and invited 10 luxury alcohol producers to showcase their British spirits. Take a look at the video below which will explain more…

So you did that during the day but what else did you get up to?

It is all about sharing our spirits with Mumbai’s amazing hotels, bars and hospitality venues. So, there was a bit of work hard play hard and it is fair to say we tasted our fair share of the cocktails Mumbai had to offer. We are delighted to say we are about to be listed with two 5* hotel chains across India – I am looking forward to enjoying a cocktail or two!

What’s Next?

We are on the export journey, with market visits in early 2025 planned for Thailand, Japan & Singapore. We are growing and we can’t wait to see our bottles on shelves and bars all over the world – watch this space…
