Our second new year’s resolution is all about doing our bit to, basically, make the world a better place. We’re not superheroes and we know that a G&T can’t solve all the planet’s problems (wouldn’t life be fun if it could!), but we also know that a little bit of effort can go a long way.

The natural world is the key to everything we produce, and we want to protect it. After all, where else would we get our delicious natural ingredients? We found a way to do that when we came across Virunga honey, made in the famous national park that stretches across Rwanda and the Congo.

In the south of the virunga region, along Rwanda’s northern border, the government pay local farmers to produce their amazing rainforest honey, which means they don’t have to rely on farming and deforestation, which destroy gorilla habitats. Eventually this remarkable product gets shipped to the UK, where we use it in our iconic rum. We think it tastes absolutely brilliant and, pleasingly, does a bit to make the world a little better.
