A group of chefs preparing food on a table.

We thought we’d write a few blog posts that would help you get to know our team a bit better. Today it’s David, our co-founder and Managing Director.

A chef by trade, David completed his apprenticeship at Bournemouth Chef School, before spells at Michelin-starred restaurants including The Greenhouse in Mayfair, One Lombard Street in the city, and Gordon Ramsay’s flagship restaurant in Royal Hospital Road. This was followed by some time working in top restaurants in Courchevel in the French Alps, where he was able to combine two loves – cooking and skiing!

A few years later, after owning his own high end events company, the decision was made to launch The Tipsy Food Company. As well as bringing all of his food knowledge to the project, David is the tech-savvy one in the office, so he took responsibility for the website and all of our back of house systems – the boring bit, as he likes to remind us! Thankfully the team has expanded since, so he’s back in the kitchen, distillery, and in meetings with bars and restaurants all over the country.

Outside of work, David loves spending time with his wife Alice and their two children. He’s also currently training for a half Ironman, which has ruled him out of a few of our less healthy lunches in the office!
